As part of the successful 'Supplier Stories' video marketing series with Castell Howell, we made our way to the beautiful rural surrounds of Pembrokeshire's Newport to capture the thriving 'Bluestone Brewing Company' in August 2024.
This shoot was right up our street; artisan craft beer brewed by a small local team at a community-focused venue with live music & festivals - sign us up!
Our biggest challenges were ensuring we were able to capture the various processes which happen at specific times throughout the day, and often in harsh environments to film, such as the various brewing stages and the bottling. Thanks to some careful planning, clear communication and being nimble on location we were able to respond quickly and get the shots we needed.
Amy Evans - Managing Director and co founder - did a great job on camera for her interview, and we used a lighting plan (including a flickering light inside a fire place) to create a warm-cosy feeling inside the taproom which matched the brand perfectly.
Overall the response has been great, and this video is a great example of how branded micro-documentaries when done right tell more than just bare facts but capture the heart and essence of a brand. By having Bluestone tell the benefits of Castell Howell it becomes both a social proof video and a branded video that promotes both companies at the same time, creating a more convincing argument and a wider audience when shared collaboratively.
And the best bit? Earning our delicious cold IPA's at the end of the shoot! 🍻
